We Can Only Pray

So a very conservative Democrat just won a congressional election in Mississippi against a very conservative Republican, despite the heavy use of Barak Obama and the Reverend Wright against the Democrat.

Is the "Southern Strategy" that has blighted our politics since George Wallace ran in 1968 maybe just a little bit obsolete? We can only pray.
