We go through lots of stuff here in this country and, more often than not, we find that we are done with it before it is worn out. This is particularly true for the parents of small children.

So it either goes to the landfill or we let it sit around the house as a part of the general clutter swearing that we will give it away to  . . .

Some friends recently tipped Wonks Anonymous off to a wonderful organization. Freecycle provides a clearinghouse of people in your area who have stuff that they want to get rid or need stuff but don't want to buy it new. You can't sell anything but you can get and give away perfectly good stuff.

Less landfill, fewer resources used and lots more happy people. Check it out.
