Blogs Are White Collar Talk Radio
So the real Americans get to drive trucks and other manly stuff and, while they drive, they can tune in to talk radio and hear discussions of all the latest events from their point of view.
Meanwhile data monkeys and other effete white collar professionals are more or less chained to their desks churning out those spreadsheets that management can't seem to do without. But we can toggle back to the internet when no one is looking and hit the blogs or the discussion threads at the NY Times.
Which brings us to the real point. Wonks Anonymous feels pretty lonely out here with only Dr Kirkwood and his relatives - who are among the finest people in the world - writing comments. Please write comments. I can guarantee that you will probably number one or two in the thread. I will bleep out obscenities but I can guarantee no further censorship.
