So The World Is Still There

Tuesday felt wonderful. It had just rained over the weekend - Wonks Anonymous lives in California so this is a good thing - Obama was winning and Wonks Anonymous had just interviewed a competent data programmer to fill a position that has been open for six months.

But nothing is perfect and now it appears that Proposition 8 - a measure to amend the California constitution to protect our more squeamish heterosexual friends from married gay people - has passed by a narrow margin. We have been told that gay marriage might confuse the children. Wonks Anonymous supposes that this includes the children who have been adopted by many wonderful, hard working gay couples throughout California.

Wonks Anonymous wants to confuse the children and he would like to see a counterinitiative started as soon as possible. Also we might consider that it is far too easy for splinter groups to clutter up the California ballot with trash like this.

-Yep, that's what I was afraid of.

You've heard that some southern states citizens are trying to pass laws preventing unmarried couples from adopting?

Yes I think that it was Arkansas. More on what to do in a few posts.
