Recent news from Eastern Europe reminds Wonks Anonymous of the experience of Yugoslavia in the 1980's and 1990's when a man made financial collapse destroyed the debt fueled economies of Eastern Europe. At that the time the US stood back in righteous glory and preached austerity to the unfortunate nations. Yugoslavia did not make it and its break up destroyed countless lives.

Wonks Anonymous guesses that the universe owes us one but he is not looking forward to repayment. He stands now at the church door in cybersackcloth and ashes. May we not get what we deserve.
