An Appreciation
Wonks Anonymous has been working out and working his way through Star Trek: The Next Generation for some time now. It was a present from daughter Cat who was a trek kid through the 1990s. Wonks Anonymous used to watch video tapes of the show with her to share family time but never saw the whole thing.
This is a really cool show. None of the truth, justice and the American Way stuff that made the original Star Trek so cheesy. Just decent science fiction and a healthy dose of moral relativism. Maybe your enemies are not evil. What if terrorists do have a point of view?
Wonks Anonymous wonders if a youth spent watching the new Star Trek shows may explain why so many kids are voting for Democrats.
Thanks Cat.

But what does this mean for the next generation, brought up on Battlestar Gallactica (Star Trek is Sci Fi for who we wish we were, Battlestar is who we are)? And don't forget about 24. True, these are shows for an slightly older audience, but still...
Excellent point. However your sister is already watching Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Keifer Sutherland is evil.
