Supply And Demand Applied To Health Care
We know that the main reason that we spend so much on health care is that some stubborn and selfish people who are lucky enough to live in this great nation insist on getting sick.
Free market economics tells that if you raise the price of something people will demand less.
Therefore if we charge sick people more per illness they will demand fewer illnesses and the overall cost of medical care will drop.

Free market economics also says that if you supply more of something, the price will go down, or less of something the price will go up. I suggest one of the reasons US health care is so expensive is because there isn't really enough of it to go around. See my post.
