Brown Mermaids and Female Action Figures

Wonks Anonymous youngest daughter just turned five which event has turned his attention to party favors and action figures.

First, while shopping for suitable prizes for a horde of little girls, we found some really nice, really cheap little mermaid dolls with different hair colors and so on. Real nice except that their skin was a uniform shade of pink. Since there were brown girls among the horde, Wonks Anonymous and spouse had to politely decline the purchase and pick up something else.

Next, Wonks Anonymous youngest is in love with How to Train Your Dragon and Wonks Anonymous felt that it would be a fine thing if she could get some action figures of the boy, the girl and the dragon.

A search shows that the boy, Hiccup, and the dragon, Toothless, are easily found. The girl, Astrid, seems to be missing in action.

It seems that little girls can have any color they want, as long as it's a shade of pink, and they have ever so many choices of dolls, provided they don't have the bad taste to want one who rides a dragon and has a battle axe.

After all this is only the twenty first century and we can't go too fast, can we?
